I'm Done Respecting That

This is from a character study shoot I did as part of a brief to recreate or draw inspiration from a pre-existing scene in television or film. I chose a very minor character from a very obscure TV show. The show was called ‘Miracles’ and ran for 13 episodes back in 2003. This character, Jimmy, was a spirit guide for another character and appeared in one episode. The styling of his character was what interested me most. It had a very Native American sense to it, which I found interesting because typically, Native American styling is done to death in fashion photography, but so far as I’ve seen, mostly just with female models. Most of the styling is actually out of frame for this shot, but it's still my favorite from the set.
